I Feel My Saviors Love

Tonight Hudson asked for me to sing "The Temple Song."  After about the 5th time through I decided to change it up a bit and switched to "I Feel My Saviors Love."

Lyrics

  1. 1. I feel my Savior's love
    In all the world around me.
    His Spirit warms my soul
    Through ev'rything I see.
  2. 2. I feel my Savior's love;
    Its gentleness enfolds me,
    And when I kneel to pray,
    My heart is filled with peace.
  3. 3. I feel my Savior's love
    And know that he will bless me.
    I offer him my heart;
    My shepherd he will be.
  4. 4. I'll share my Savior's love
    By serving others freely.
    In serving I am blessed.
    In giving I receive.
  5. Chorus
    He knows I will follow him,
    Give all my life to him.
    I feel my Savior's love,
    The love he freely gives me.
  6. Words: Ralph Rodgers Jr., 1936-1996; K. Newell Dayley, b. 1939; and Laurie Huffman, b. 1948
    Music: K. Newell Dayley, b. 1939

  7. I went ahead and highlighted the part that stood out to me the most. It may seem strange to most but this song writer was once a missionary in the Palmariah (I'm sure I spelled this wrong!) New York mission a number of years ago. He just also happens to be my grandfather's cousin. So a little bit of a distance relative to me but that's not important for me story. Anyways on his mission he met Nathan's grandfather and converted him to the church. And as I sang this beautiful song about my Saviors Love to my sweet little kids I felt it with every fiber of my being. Because my savior loved me and my whole Ganoe family he sent a Dayley to New York to convert them to the gospel. Years down the line I had the chance to email Newell and tell him because he made the choice to go on his mission, and convert this wonderful family, I now have my eternal family. I am so grateful to have a heavenly father who loves us each so deeply that he sends us missionaries to help get our eternal families. One day when Hudson is a little older I will tell him how a Dayley boy went on a mission and converted a Ganoe to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Then how his Papa and Grammy decided to move his Daddy and aunts and uncles to Idaho for a job. Fast forward to mommy and daddy meeting and getting married. A year later, exactly 4 months before we held our sweet Hudson man in our arms for the first time, we were sealed for time and all eternity. That because our savior loves us so.much, he paved a way for us to always be together. I can not wait for that day!
